A lot of people unhappy about the preferential treatment being shown towards Wembley, with two televised games in a row.
Obviously, there's a story there with the old pros coming back to play for them but with them being sponsored by Budweiser, also the sponsors of the FA Cup, there does appear to be a conflict of interests.

They only have two old pros playing for them today as well! Cracking 2nd goal though!

They were well and truly stuffed tonight. I'm rather pleased as I think there's something seriously wrong with the sponsors of a competition also spnsoring a team to see how far they can get.

And apparently ESPN already had Wembley's next game lined up for live coverage. We'll see whether they show Uxbridge next and whether they continue showing the remaining qualifying rounds...

I hope they do continue to show the qualifying rounds. I suppose it will depend in part on how many people have seen the games so far. I didn't see tonight's game as I was watching the Paralympic ceremony. They also said several times in Sunday's game that the replay would be on Tuesday so I suspect ronight's audience will have been pretty poor.

If they are the same Waltham that's a rubbish crowd for a local derby.

Haringey & Waltham were formerly Mauritius Sports, an ex-Haven team. I doubt they have any kind of fan base. Their average crowd last season was 17.
However, a crowd of 24 is still very poor considering Waltham Abbey are a step 4 club, who averaged just under 100 last season (still poor, but you'd think they'd have a few travelling fans). I can only think Waltham Abbey's fans weren't bothered about playing lower league opposition or didn't want to spend money travelling into London.

My road to Wembley started last night with the biggest mid-Derbyshire (err..) derby there is....
Belper Town vs Matlock Town (1st qualifying round replay)
Belper easily won 3-0, which would count as a giant-killing, given that Matlock are one division above Belper in the pyramid, if it wasn't for the fact that Matlock were so bad.
A combined attendance of over 800 fans across the two matches indicates the level of local interest.
It's the recently re-formed Ilkeston FC away in the next round for the Nailers.

Tad beat a team from the league above, so very impressive. Didn't realise Bath City were in it already, they were conference last season!
