Hope Mansfield can pull it off, didn't realise your ground held that many though. A banana skin was what I hoped Reading avoided so not pleased with Crawley away. As banana skins go that's one of the worst ties we could have got. It does have interest though in that Coppell is director of football at Crawley still I think, and he's also good friends with McDermott. I actually wondered during yesterday's game whether he'd spoken to Brian leading into it.

The ground should hold around 10000, but the safety advisory group seem to constantly make us lower the capacity, so it may be as low as 7500, but we'll see. I'm sure our club will do all it can to get in as many as possible, I just hope we get past Lincoln! Last played Liverpool in 1970 in the league cup 0-0 at home and lost 3-2 away. Will we be on the tv, or will it be west ham v man u and Swansea v arsenal They dont need the chuffing money, the lower league clubs do in games they are unlikely to win! Am I right in saying a non league side has never beaten a team from the Prem? And yes Tom, Crawley away is not good for you.

I can see West Ham-Man Utd being on TV but not Swansea-Arsenal simply because there's not much difference in league positions atm.
Surprising that the majority of our fans seem to be happy with the draw. But that maybe because they are keen to go to the game at a ground that is presumably new for us and is also fairly local to get to. As things stand now i'd take a replay, it puts extra significance on the Spurs away game which precedes it as well, a game i'm going to. Last season we went into the Stevenage home tie on the back of a poor result at Cardiff and promptly got knocked out.

How many ties are on television in the 3rd round?
West Ham v Man U seems an inevitable choice with Cheltenham or Hereford v Everton and Lincoln or Mansfield v Liverpool also likely choices.

Am I right in saying a non league side has never beaten a team from the Prem? Yes. Coventry were the last top flight club to be knocked out by non-league opposition when they lost to Sutton United in 1989. A few Premier League clubs have been taken to replays but none knocked out.

Man United have been taken to replays twice by non-league opposition, most recently Burton who won the Conference that season (2004/05).
Every FA Cup tie United have played since 2004 has been on TV either on Sky/ITV/BBC without fail, it's so damn obvious they'll be forced down our throats again.

ITV and ESPN are in business to make money and West Ham v Man U is likely to get a good audience and, therefore, good advertising rates. If Man U had been drawn, for example, at home to Birmingham then it would have been a much less likely choice.

Stags v Lincoln replay is on espm on the wednesday night, and I think Hastings v Harrogate replay is on espn on the thursday. We've also heard the winners of our game v Liverpool will be on at 4pm on the sunday, not sure if that is itv or espn though? We both get £34100 for the replay, and for being shown in the 3rd round both teams get £135850!!!

Yes, ESPN are showing the Hastings v Harrogate replay. Not sure about the other 3rd round ties. I got the Brighton news from the twitter feed. What a game that was!!, even more entertaining than an overhyped top-of-the-table-clash involving United or "Fergie and [rival managers name] lock horns" Premier League match. Seriously, I'm not joking and am for real. That match had everything, it was exciting end to end stuff and one of the most entertaining and nail biting penalty shootouts I've ever seen. The magic of the FA Cup.
