As a huge Cricket fan & former PM John Major would say on occasion "Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear". Looking at the England team's selection it looks like having a Day-Night Test has confused them with their XI selection being far more appropriate for a Test match in England. Whilst India's spinners took 9 wickets for the cost of 64 runs! Thing is, the pitch wasn't even turning! Most of those wickets taken by the spinners were through straight deliveries. There's was enough in India's innings to suggest the team selection wasn't necessarily a bad one, it's just that England's woeful batting, and in particular, decision making against the spinners, has effectively put them out of the game inside two sessions.

Amazing fightback this morning as India collapse! 5 wickets have fallen for 26 runs and Joe Root has 3 for 0. 125-8.

I was just going to say, could we even make 33! Surely the pitch has to be investigated?

Thing is, again, the batsmen have been getting out to straighter balls. There is turn but it's the uncertainty that is causing wickets to fall. It doesn't seem to be doing as much as the pitch in the last test. The last day/night match in India saw a lot of reverse swing with no joy for the spinners but the commentators pointed out that was in Kolkata on the east side of the country, where it gets dark earlier. Ahmedabad is over on the west side and is producing very different conditions.

England move into the lead and Stokes is in attack mode. If they can reach 150, this game is winnable.

Root survives one of the longest reviews ever after initially being given out lbw, but Stokes goes soon after. England 50-4, the lead is 17.

Archer gone for 0. Really not sure why he's batting at 8.

England all out for 81. India's target is 49.
30 wickets have fallen in 5 sessions so far in this match.

India getting one or two overs before dinner. Time for the innings of Leach's life...

Not a bad prediction by me, I predict India will lose 1 wicket, surely Root should be opening the bowling

And that's it all over. India win by 10 wickets. The entire test match lasted 140 overs.

About farce and should be investigated for that amount of wickets and the game to be over in two days is laughable.
