We've decided against asking for a postponment of the weekends game as it would put us two behind everyone else. Should beat Cheltenham anyway...

After 3 poor results it looks like it's all going wrong. It's at times when you're struggling you find out if your manager's up to the job and I really don't think he is. Some of his tactical decisions have been bizzare to say the least recently. We badly need to bring in a striker on loan who might just get a goal every now and again. We're appaling up front at the moment. Agogo had a good run of 3-4 games but has been poor since. Holt needs an operation and is playing through the pain, Tyson & Dobie are always getting injured and take a few games to find any kind of form, which by the time they find it they're back in the treatment room again! Sinclair looks good but he's not even getting a chance. We're appaling at the moment and CC doesn't even put him on the bench so we have no recognised striker to bring on which we really needed. As if that wasn't bad enough it's now looking increasigly unlikely Lennon will play for us again which is a real shame as he's probably the best player in the league and has been an insprational captain and now we're going to have Ian Breckin playing every game despite being about the worst player at the club taking the place of Wes Morgan who's been sensational. Next two games are against teams above us too...

The Neil Lennon situation is rather strange! It's not looking too positive.
But regarding strikers, surely you have the best strikeforce in the division with Agogo, Holt, Commons, Tyson and Dobie. I don't think you need another striker, but the manager needs to find a way of motivating these players.

I agree that on paper it really should be the best but it's not at all.
Dobies' been with us since we were in the Championship and has never done anything of note. Tyson and Holt signed about two years ago now. Tyson has never been able to get going. He's got pace and always looks a threat but gets injured a lot and he's had very few games when actually fully fit. Holt, although our top scorer last season has never had bags of ability and I think he's shown this season that CC was wrong to sit and talk with him in the summer and should've just sold him when he handed in a transfer request. Commons has bags of ability and although a midfielder should get 15-20 goals every season. He does remind me of Andy Reid though in that he doesn't always turn up and you sense he has the attitude that he knows he's good so will play anyway. It was a stroke of genius for CC to leave him on the bench for a few games and he worked his way back into the 1st XI but since he's been poor again..
The stats for this season:
Holt: 11 starts, 4 sub apps, 1 goal Tyson: 8, 3, 1 Agogo: 14, 2, 5 (and that includes a hat-trick!) Commons: 12, 4, 7
So in a combined 33 starts and 9 sub appearences out strikers have scored 7 goals. That's relegation form...

Tyson's proneness to injury is a mystery to me. From what I can remember he was never injured for any great length of time either at Reading or Wycombe, which suggests two things. Either there's something wrong with his training regime at Forest, not enough fitness work perhaps. Or more likely he keeps coming back before he's fully fit.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was the first TBH. Ever since I've supported Forest there's only been one season where we've had two decent strikers regularly hitting the back of the net.
He was good when he first came but last season broke his leg two minutes into the opening game. He's not been the same since.

I'll take a 2-0 win!
Awful as usual in the first half and we didn't look like scoring until we got a penalty which seemed to spur us on. Both Agogo and Tyson scoring should help a lot too!

New stadium plans being mentioned again, you want a 50000 stadium, so that it can be used in 2018?

Yeah. I'm not sure if I think it's a good idea or not. It's been about 12 years now since we were an alright Premiership side. If we're going to get anywhere close to filling a 50k seater we need to be there again really. Be half empty otherwise...

Was great coming back from watching an 8-0 to see we'd won 4-1! And up to second! Shame we've probably got an 18 day break but it's for the best really. Probably not a wise idea to go to the only team above us without Clingan and Agogo...

Good to see Tyson score again, sounds as though he played a major part in the victory after coming off the bench, linking up well with Agogo.

Another good win at the weekend beating Crewe 2-0, as well as having an effort cleared off the line and hitting the woodwork FIVE times! Up to 2nd now and hope we can stay there. Leyton Orient have done well to be top but I can't see them doing that well all season, especially when their goal difference is 0 compared to our +18. Think Carlisle, Swansea and Leeds will be our biggest rivals come the end of the season. Although I'm hoping after losing to Hereford and Cheltenham that Leeds might be starting to slip up a bit... FA Cup tomorrow and then possily at the weekend. For some bizzare reason if Luton beat Brentford we'll be playing them on Dec 11th rather than Saturday... I think my faith in CC has been restored again for now. Everytime we go on a bad run one of his new signings comes in and does really well. Chris Cohen and Arran Davies are both superb, a snatch at £1m! Good to see Lennon back involved again, even if he was only an unused sub...

Forest really confuse me... We get stuffed by Gillingham yet can play a team only one point worse off with only one of our first choice back four and neither of our first choice strikers and win 4-0. Back up to second. Just hope we can stay there. Think we're possibly too inconsistant to win the league... And after having a £1m bid for Leon Best rejected I do hope he doesn't increase the offer. He's not worth it, especially at this level.

Two and a half years after leaving Marlon King does his FIRST good thing for Forest by moving to Fulham for £5m! A 20-25% sell on clause means we get atleast a million. Added to the 500k we sold him for it really isn't bad considering he's about the worst player we've had since I started supporting!

He did well at Gillingham, Forest wouldnt have bought him in the first place otherwise. I heard rumours that he simply didn't fit into Forest's style of play, simply the wrong player at the wrong club, rather like a current Reading player...
