I agree, the right guy won. I did think many weeks ago that Ricky was the one to beat and Sunday's show proved it! I liked the idea of Nick's plan, it certainly had potential but did it have a wide enough appeal to really make a significant profit - perhaps not. Jade's plan was awful and the second she opened her mouth I knew she was going to be the first one to be shown the door. I don't think she had a large enough entrepreneurial streak in her to succeed. All in all, I enjoyed the series and will look forward to next year.

It would be interesting to know what Lord Sugar thinks about that as he didn't like how 2006 series 2 (wasn't watching back then) came across at all, to the point where in his autobiography (well worth getting btw if you're an Apprentice fan) that series is the only one where he didn't include a photo of the winner. I'm not even sure he mentions who the winner was. It's that more to do with how terrible the series 2 winner was (Michelle Dewberry, rather than the amazing Ruth Badger) rather than the series itself? Ah, didn't realise that was the year that those two were in. Maybe that was true, but having just had a quick look at the book again Lord Sugar made it clear he didn't like the direction the show took, not helped i'm sure by the fact that the original team left after the first series. He felt that the series wasn't as professional and that it was moving too close to a Big Brother-type show which concentrates on people arguing. The last sentence he says, " My involvement in The Apprentice was only on the basis of there being an underlying business message in every episode."

Nothing to do with any of that and without giving anything away I may already know of one of them not winning tonight though... This turned out to be accurate, it was Tom.
