For some reason known only to themselves NBC are not screening the opening ceremony live. They will air it in the early evening in the States.
Extremely silly.

They did the same in 2012 apparently and still managed to do a p*ss-poor job.
Just switched it on now as I've been at work.

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's a bunny with a pancake on its head.

i suppose the reasoning behind the boycott is that low ratings will somehow have an impact. but protesting at the games themselves would be more effective. not many people who are boycotting the games would be willing or able to do that. Boycotting the sponsors could be effective, but I don't think you buy Coca Cola or McDonald's much anyway, and it'd have to be a really big boycott to make a difference.

the Slopestyle Snowboarding was amazing , enjoyed that today I saw some of that but the commentary might just as well have been in Hungarian for all the sense it made.

Thoroughly enjoyed the slopestyle and the moguls yesterday, without having the faintest idea what was going on.

Not really watching it, not expecting many Britain medals, be lucky to get 1.

Amazing, caught the end of it, did the Russian have a bad fall, who may have knocked her down a place?

Not really watching it, not expecting many Britain medals, be lucky to get 1. Well, we've just matched your forecast. We've won a bronze Jenny Jones, Snowboarding legend, effectively past her sell by date by the time her Slopestyle discipline is finally allowed into the Winter Olympics (she has previously won Gold 3 times in the Winter X Games - the equivalent of the world championships), takes a bronze medal at the age of 33. Britain's first ever Winter Olympic medal on Snow. Brilliant stuff!
