I did see it right and Jamaica did come 29th, and not 30th, and so not last, the commentators failed to make any comment, but I assume that was a big thing for Jamaica, assume they caught Serbia who had been in 29th?

A big day for the GB curling teams as we reach the semi-final stage.
The men beat Norway in a playoff to reach the semis, thanks to a stunning final shot from David Murdoch. They face Sweden, with Canada playing China in the other semi. A win will guarantee at least a silver medal.
The women didn't need a playoff to reach the last four and they take on Canada, with Sweden playing Switzerland in the other tie.
GB have a combined 0-6 record against the other semi-finalists in this Olympics but now would be the time to pull a victory out of the bag.

No gold medal for GB's women curlers after they lost 6-4 to Canada. They never recovered from a poor start that saw them 3-0 down after two ends and the Canadians sealed victory with the last stone of the match. GB will face Switzerland for bronze tomorrow, with Canada playing Sweden in the gold medal match.

saw my first 2014 winter olympics action today - the women's and men's curling semi-finals. surprisingly thrilling - especially the men's match, with the GB team sneaking it right at the end! looking forward to the final - apparently GB men haven't won curling gold since the 1920s

Eve Muirhead made two terrible shots in the second and fifth ends.

apparently GB men haven't won curling gold since the 1920s Correct, though curling wasn't included in the Winter Olympics between 1928 and 1994.

I think the game was lost very early on when Canada was 3-0 up and yeah you could blame Eve on bad shots but you gotta give Canada huge credit for applying the pressure and being consistent throughout their campaign. Gold medal should be theirs. Both teams are very evenly matched at their very best so on another day, it could have been GB who won it but they have been very inconsistent throughout this Olympics. Hopefully GB get the bronze tomorrow!! Great viewing in the mens semi and congrats to Dave Murdoch, who finally gets a medal of some sorts in his 3rd Olympics!
