Who is singing on it? And where did the music come from? You wrote the music to it and played it? Yes, daz is like the modern day Daniel Bedingfield.

No mention of my favourite Suoer Furry Animaks song ‘Play It Cool’ I like Play It Cool but it just didn't feel like a song that would appeal to the Haven masses.

I never really liked SFA back in the day, but they've scored quite well with me in this contest, which suggests Panda made some good song choices. I had them down to finish 13th, so 8th place is an outstanding result. In fact, if it were down to me, I'd give the Mentor-Of-The-Contest trophy to Panda, for doing such a good job. 7th place

I was Super Furry Animals' mentor. I never thought for a second that I could win but thought I might be able to get into the second half of the contest, so I achieved that particular goal. I rated SFA as a 25/1 chance to win.
I'd been considering entering Super Furry Animals for a couple of years but ended up choosing something else. This time, I had a completely different act in mind, then switched to SFA at the last minute.
I've had a lot going on away from here so didn't put a lot of thought into this contest. However, I did have some idea of a few songs I wanted to use.
Round 1: Golden Retriever One of their biggest hits but not one I like compared to their other stuff so I had no problem using it here.
Round 2: Run-Away One of their later singles and one perhaps not as well-known as their bigger hits. Was worth entering purely for the video starring Matt Berry and directed by Richard Ayoade. The other track I considered here was Do Or Die.
Round 3: (Drawing) Rings Around The World Rings Around The World is my favourite SFA album and I could have used a lot more tracks off it than I did. This was always going to be the choice here for this double elimination round.
Round 4: God! Show Me Magic The first song I heard by the band and a chance to show off something from their first album, Fuzzy Logic.
Round 5: Receptacle For The Respectable Contrary to some (one) comments, this was always the track I had in mind for the non-single round. It did face late competition from Zoom! but I stuck with my first choice.
Round 6: Ice Hockey Hair In hindsight, a bit risky for a double elimination round. I thought this non-album single might be strong enough to get through on its own but I had to go through the sing-off.
Sing-off: Juxtaposed With U This was always my sing-off song and would've been used in the final had I got there. A 4-way sing-off is always going to be hard but a weaker-than-expected Jam track helped a lot.
Round 7: Hermann Loves Pauline I was struggling a little bit for this round but I went for this as I hadn't chosen anything from Radiator yet. In a strong round, I thought it might have a chance against that Ash track but it wasn't to be.
Sing-off: Demons I felt this was the strongest available track and I originally had this down as a possible final song but it stood no chance against Marvin Gaye. Thorney suggested The Man Don't Give A F*** and I may well have gone with that if we hadn't been nominating sing-off tracks before we knew who was in the sing-off.
In the next round, the choice potentially would've been either Northern Lites or If You Don't Want Me To Destroy You. I saw Something 4 The Weekend mentioned - great track but one that I possibly would've ended up leaving on the shelf. Slow Life definitely would've come into play in the latter stages, potentially as a final song after I had to burn Juxtaposed With U and I would have loved to have played Run! Christian, Run! at some point. Others considered were It's Not The End Of The World and Fire In My Heart.
Anyway, here are my likely next round song Northern Lites, and potential final song Slow Life: (flashing images in the latter)

Day 17: KYREN WILSON 18-14 JAK JONES A final that was effectively won in the first session when Wilson took the opening seven frames. Jones did incredibly well to stay in the match but never managed to get the deficit to less than three. This is the first time since 2015 that we've had first-time champions in back-to-back years (Mark Selby in 2014, Stuart Bingham in 2015). There have been two occasions during the Crucible era where we've had first-time champions in three conscutive years: Terry Griffiths, Cliff Thorburn and Steve Davis from 1979-81 and Mark Williams, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Peter Ebdon from 2000-02. Wilson becomes the new world no.3 behind Mark Allen and Judd Trump, while Jones climbs into the top 16 for the first time, at 14.

Day 15: DAVID GILBERT 11-17 KYREN WILSON JAK JONES 17-12 STUART BINGHAM Two semi-finals which were close in the first half but saw the winner pull away in the latter stages as the beatan player faded away. Wilson is through to his second Crucible final, having lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan in 2020. Jak Jones is through to his first ranking final at any tournament and is the lowest ranked World finalist since Shaun Murphy in 2005, though he is now guaranteed to climb into the top 16.

Stockton almost bottled it in the NPL East playoff final for the third year in a row but came back from 3-1 and 4-3 down to beat Dunston on penalties.

Yes, Chorley are playoff regulars. They won them a few years ago but finished bottom of the National League the following season.

Day 12: DAVID GILBERT 13-8 STEPHEN MAGUIRE KYREN WILSON 13-8 JOHN HIGGINS JUDD TRUMP 9-13 JAK JONES STUART BINGHAM 13-10 RONNIE O'SULLIVAN A semi-final line-up absolutely no-one predicted. David Gilbert pretty much won his match against Maguire in the first session, with the Scot unable to close the sizable lead. Kyren Wilson produced an excellent evening session to see off John Higgins. Jak Jones took advantage of a woeful performance from Judd Trump to reach his first Crucible semi-final and Stuart Bingham produced his best performance in years to dump out Ronnie O'Sullivan. The exits for O'Sullivan and Trump today mean Mark Allen will become the new world no.1. This is the first time three qualifiers have reached the semi-finals of the tournament in its current format. We're guaranteed a first-time matchup in the final for the fifth year in a row. The last repeat final was Trump v Higgins in 2019. Semi-finals: David Gilbert v Kyren Wilson Jak Jones v Stuart Bingham

Day 10: JOE O'CONNOR 6-13 KYREN WILSON JOHN HIGGINS 13-12 MARK ALLEN JACK LISOWSKI 11-13 STUART BINGHAM RYAN DAY 7-13 RONNIE O'SULLIVAN John Higgins beat Mark Allen in a Crucible classic, winning the deciding frame with a clearance of 71 that started with a double, after Allen had a made a break of 62 and was just two pots from victory. Stuart Bingham came out on top against Jack Lisowski in another tight match. Lisowski missed a crucial pink to go 12-11 up and Bingham never looked back, sealing the match with a break of 75 in the next frame. Ronnie O'Sullivan made light work of Ryan Day to reach his 22nd Crucible quarter-final, while Kyren Wilson wrapped up victory very quickly against Joe O'Connor. Quarter-finals: David Gilbert v Stephen Maguire Kyren Wilson v John Higgins Judd Trump v Jak Jones Stuart Bingham v Ronnie O'Sullivan Jak Jones is the only player remaining who's never reached the semis at the Crucible. There are now just 3 players who can finish the season at no.1 in the world rankings. Ronnie O'Sullivan will be no.1 if he wins the tournament. Judd Trump will be no.1 if he reaches the final. Mark Allen will be no.1 if Trump loses in the quarter-finals and O'Sullivan doesn't win the tournament.
