Nice to see Air Traffic there. Did that Kasabian track - Fast fuse ever get released?

That Air Traffic one was actually a number one for me but I'd consider it to be the weakest of their singles...

Nice to see Air Traffic there. Did that Kasabian track - Fast fuse ever get released? If it did it was very limited think it was 10" only not even a download. I have a very crappy radio rip, shame it was a great track they should have had a download 2.

For me 2007 will go down as the year with the best ever start. I didn't have to wait for good music to be released, I had a playlist from 1 January with 15 songs on it (compared to about 2 or 3 from most years). One of those songs on that list was this one.
The Hours were formed out of the backing band of the late Joe Strummer's group that he formed after the Clash, the Mescaleros. One of them was also previously in Black Grape, I think.

yeh maybe but I always find January has lots of good releases as the big stars tend to avoid it due to low sales so the newer bands take advantage, its a great time to break a new band or make a comeback this year eg next year Supergrass will return with a big hit after their lacklustre last album with the help of the weak Jan.
anyway next 10
140 Cherry Ghost – People Help The People 139 Kaiser Chiefs – The Angry Mob 138 Shins – Turn On Me 137 Go! Team – Doing It Right 136 Babyshambles - Delivery 135 Bedouin Soundclash – Walls Fall Down 134 The Sounds - Painted By Numbers 133 Maps – To The Sky 132 Interpol - No I In Threesome 131 Super Furry Animals – Show Your Hand

The downside of download-only tracks being eliglble for the chart was that releasing on 1st January couldn't guarantee them a hit like it used to. In fact there are fewer songs making the top 75 and even top 200 than there used to be because the bottom end of those charts is filled with oldies and album-tracks.
I can't guess which other UK #1s would be in your top 30 of the year as after Kaiser Chiefs I don't recall any indie stuff getting to #1 at all, I know you like some dance stuff but even then I can't even recall what was #1, maybe that Robyn ft Kleerup one would have appealed to you.
