10 Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch Reached #62 in my year end in 2005, it doesnt mean that 2007 is a worse year just that my taste has changed a bit,but I do love this song even more now. 9 Foo Fighters - The Pretender No surprises that this would be in the top 10,the best single for a long time from them. 8 Arcade Fire - No Cars Go First of two songs in the top 10 for Arcade Fire and really there is nothing between them, they are both amazing pieces of music. 7 Silversun Pickups – Lazy Eye Wow thsi track just blew me away from the first moment I heard it and it has a very effective video with a great twist hehe. Basically its Smashing Pumpkins - 1979 for the 21st Century and they managed to make a better album than their initial sharing influence as well. 6 Arcade Fire – Keep The Car Running No official video for this so using this fan video based on the amazing 'Serenity' Now I play them back to back I'm pretty sure I have them in the right order, this is very Bruce Springsteen ish and epic. 5 The Long Blondes - Giddy Stratospheres Its another re-issue this track reminds me of Britpop girl bands like Echobelly & Elastics, its just so catchy and a great video. They are very underated and hope they are bigger next year. 4 Peter Bjorn & John - Young Folks Yes I know its another re-issue, I actually apologised last year for this being so low in my list but I said that was because I had hardly heard it. Well I have heard it plenty since and it jumps from 185 to 4 of the year lol Top 3 tomorrow!!

you dont like dance music much at all do you Frag hehe I used to... most of it's been a bit bland this year IMO I'll get round to that sometime - spending a lot of my time getting my YEC in order at the moment ;D Oooh... THAT one... yeah, I know that one. It is indeed very good

ok top 3 time, and yes they are all pretty mainstream I guess all three are top 20 hits, one debut single, one biggest career hit and a third single of an album. 2 & 3 are almost equal and inseparable but they must be split up so 3 will be................................................................................................................................................................ ..................................................................................................................... 3 Klaxons - Golden Skans Just an amazing pop record and just on a different level to anything else on the album don't think anyone but the hypesters at NME believed they had this in them.

NUMBER TWO!!!!!! Reverend & The Makers - Heavy Weight Champion Of The World Owing a huge debt to The Stoneroses 'BegginG you' especially the Reverend's first proper single is Arctics style lyrics meets Madchester indie (which was my favourite era for music) so I just had to love this. Basically it was another surprise. And that just leaves the Number one!! which you all know by now, will post it soon

NUMBER ONE!!!!!!!Biffy Clyro - Folding Stars The best Biffo Clyro song yet and their most personal, just a fantastic song, ok it could have come of 'The Color & The Shape' again owing a debt to The Foos especially 'Everlong' but who cares they are our band. The best rock band out of Scotland in years, Idlewild dont count as they rock not RAWK! Time to finish the album list

I like the #1 though it's not my favourite Biffy single (past or present).
Numbers 2 and 3 do nothing for me at all but hey-ho.
Great chart overall though.

Really like the Reverend & The Makers tune but not too fussed with Golden Skans or Folding Stars, though I do like them. Anyway, overall - a great chart!

I see only two UK #1s in your top 30, Kaiser Chiefs and Robyn ft Kleerup. What other song in there did you think was a UK #1 (or was when I wasn't looking).
