It's called Sports Personality and Andrew Strauss has the personality of a dead fish !! There have been plenty of past winners who haven't had much of a personality.

I'm guessing Usain Bolt will get the overseas award. I think we can rule out Thierry Henry.

I've voted for the winner for the past few years. I doubt it this year because Button is surely a Slam Dunk.
A victory for him can only devalue the prestige of the trophy.
Not a vintage year and hard to choose from the list but I'm leaning towards Jesica Ennis.
Shocked that Victoria Pendleton who followed her Olympic tiumph by winning the worlds this year only recieved one vote.
If there is any justice then the England World Women's Cricket team should win the team award.

The odds for Ryan Giggs continue to shorten by the day. All seems a bit dodgy considering he was 100/1 a few weeks ago...

Celts should be banned from voting. Leon Jackson, McManus, those kilted tw*ts, those big-haired tw*ts, all thanks to the unEnglish. Even Gemini "won" the nomination for Song For Britain because Scotland voted for a Scot and the points difference screwed the proper entry.

It was tongue-in-cheek, I'm part-Celt meself. But it happens. People vote for the hometown hero. Even when such a decision is beyond any semblance of intelligence.

I think Jenson Button thoroughly deserves the award. Those that DO understand and watch Formula 1 will appreciate and understand his achievements, particularly when it looked like he was out of work only weeks before the start of the F1 season.

Having said that I think Jessica Ennis or David Haye would also be worthy winners!
I'm not aware of Ryan Giggs doing anything particularly remarkable this year! :s

That doesn't always come across so well on the Internet. Think on, Dexter.

I just love the idea that the Welsh would vote for Ryan Giggs en masse when his commitment to Wales almost extended to actually playing for them.

I've voted for the winner for the past few years. I doubt it this year because Button is surely a Slam Dunk. A victory for him can only devalue the prestige of the trophy. I think that already happened when Princess Anne and Greg Rusedski won it. Not a vintage year and hard to choose from the list but I'm leaning towards Jesica Ennis. There still can't have been many years outside Olympic years where the shortlist has featured 6 World Champions...
