Another century for Joe Root. England 350-4. 3-day test anyone?

Bit of a collapse spoiled it at the end, interesting to see how India's batting holds up on the 3rd day?

Not sure you can really call it a collapse when the lead is that big in the 1st innings. No point hanging around blocking everything in that position. Overton is a very strong no.9 and is capable of pushing the lead past 400 in the morning. India will just be hoping to make England bat again.

Terrific performance and surely now it’s headed for 1-1 in the series.
Good response after the abysmal showing in the previous test.

Maybe not as straight forward as everyone was predicting...

England take the new ball at the start of the morning and less than 20 overs later India are all out and England win by an innings.

Jos Buttler will miss the 4th test as his wife is due to give birth. Jonny Bairstow will keep wicket with Sam Billings included in the squad as cover. Mark Wood and Chris Woakes are also in the squad after recovering from injury.

With Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes absent, Moeen Ali will be England's vice-captain for the 4th test against India.

Buttler has been awful with the bat, so might be a blassing in disguise, let's wait and see...

An interesting 4th test so far. India all out for 191, though it should've been less after they were reduced to 127-7. Chris Woakes took 4-55 on his return to Test cricket after an absence of a year.
England were all out for 290, having been 151-6, with Woakes making 50 batting at 9, and Pope top scoring with 81.
India 43-0 at the end of day 2, still trailing by 56.

If they set us 250 will we get it batting last? I know that's a big IF, see what happens tomorrow I guess?

Anything over 220 is difficult I reckon.

If England can get through to the close with, at most, 1 wicket down, they might just fancy this.
