Britney Spears - Break the ice
Weeks at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 16
The whole Blackout era was a bit weird. It wasn't an easy time for her, but she came out with a very good record and decent singles. Break the ice was one of the first songs that leaked online before the album dropped. At first I thought it was produced by Timbaland, but then I read the she refused to work with him. Break the ice was the final single from Blackout and became another number 1 on my chart. It peaked only at number 15 in UK though.

Britney Spears - Circus
Weeks at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 22
This has to be one of my personal favourites from Britney. I especially love the choreography, it's brilliant. Surprisingly or not, it was one of her biggest hits US, but only peaked at number 13 in UK.

Britney Spears - Criminal
Weeks at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 18
I didn't like this song at first at all, but a few weeks after its release it became another number 1 for Britney on my chart. I think it it quite good in charts all over the world if you think that there was barely any promotion and it was the 4th single from Femme Fatale.

Britney Spears - Everytime
Weeks at number 1: 7 Weeks on chart: 35
I still think that In the zone is Britney's best and most interesting work. Everytime was a heartbreaking ballad, which seemed very honest and most people could relate to it, at least in UK where it topped the chart for 3 weeks, but only made number 15 in US.

Britney Spears - Gimme more
Weeks at number 1: 2 Weeks on chart: 13
Gimme more was surrounded by a big fuzz and that infamous performance at Video Music Awards. There was also a big gap between her last and this single, so I was waiting for it with as much anticipation as for her next album. It gave Britney another top 3 hit in UK and another number 1 on my chart.

Britney Spears - Hold it against me
Weeks at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 17
Another lead single from Britney which topped my chart, but for just 1 week. I was in Berlin at the time of the release and even bought the single because of the official instrumental. It peaked at number 6 in UK which was a great result considering there wasn't much promotion for the single in UK.

Britney Spears - I wanna go
Weeks at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 21
Another number 1 for Britney, b****. Good pop song, fun video. Apparently, it charted at number 111 in UK and I suppose it makes her biggest flop in UK ever. I still wonder, why. There were worse singles released, subjectively speaking, of course.

Spoiler: There are 13 number ones more for Britney, but which ones? And does she hold the record for the most number ones on my chart?

Britney Spears - I'm not a girl, not yet a woman
Weeks at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 26
Another number 1 for Britney on my chart. It peaked at number 2 in UK, but only managed to spend 7 weeks in top 40. It failed to chart in US top 100 due to the radio ban because of the sponsorship disagreements.

Britney Spears - If U seek Amy
Week at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 15
Another number 1 for Britney, produced by the one and only Max Martin. It only managed to peak at number 20 in UK, but managed to chart a bit higher in US peaking at number 19. One of my least favorite Britney number ones.

Britney Spears featuring Madonna - Me against the musicWeeks at number 1: 1 Weeks on chart: 19 Madonna has always refused to duet with anybody (if this information is correct), but in 2003 Britney became the second singer on the planet to record a duet with the queen of pop (Ricky Martin being the first on the track Be careful). It charted at number 2 in UK and became the first single from In the zone, which is Britney's best album by a mile (my humble opinion). This also counts as Madonna's first number 1 on my chart.
