The draw was made for this today in Ottawa. This will be the first tournament with 24 teams and will follow the same format used for the men's tournament between 1986 and 1994. There's been controversy in recent months due to FIFA's decision to play the tournament on artificial turf, prompting a group of players from around the world to launch legal action. However, England's players have remained somewhat silent on the issue, possibly because some of the English WSL teams play on artificial pitches. Anyway, this is the draw:

This is getting broadcasted on the BBC channels for the first time. I might take a stab at the England matches and a few others, just depending what time the games get started.

It's not the first time. BBC have shown the last two. However, this will be the first time they've shown every game. Live coverage in previous years has generally been limited to England games + the final, with daily highlights.

Kick-off times will vary from between 6pm and 3am our time.
England's three group games will kick off at 6pm, 9pm and 9pm. The 2nd round game will be either 9pm or 10pm, if England finish in the top 2. A possible quarter-final would be 9pm or 12:30am. The semi-finals and final will kick off at midnight UK time.

I shall watch, but would prefer a highlights prog for the minor games.

England squad announced tomorrow... Hoping Fran Kirby makes it in...don't know how much competition there is for strikers though.
Will try and watch the England games at least, don't think I've paid much attention in recent tournaments. In 2007 remember England getting quite far in the knockout stages but I was at a Reading game that day so wasn't able to see it, and IIRC they lost anyway.
Actually having looked up 2011 think I saw at least one of the England matches, but always going to be a problem if it clashes with Wimbledon...

England have reached the quarters in the last two World Cups. Were comfortably beaten by the USA in 2007, then lost on penalties to France four years ago, leaving them to watch Japan, who they'd beaten in the group stage, go on to win the tournament. BBC has done a breakdown of the squad contenders with former England players and Kelly Smith seems to think Fran Kirby will be in the squad: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32611132

I shall watch, but would prefer a highlights prog for the minor games. When the news that Fran Kirby had been called up was put on Reading's club site yesterday they went through the coverage details and said that there would be a daily catch up programme on the iPlayer.
Every game will be shown live, whether that be on BBC2, BBC3 or on the red button. They would also be shown on the BBC Sport website, plus there'll be Five Live commentary. The BBC site will also have live text commentary from every England match and selected other games.

Cheers Tom, dont use the iplayer much, prefer normal channels, not sure why a highlights show couldn't be one of their many channels, even if at a late night or early morning, just something I could record and watch at my leisure

Group A: The hosts win the opening game of the tournament with a dodgy stoppage time penalty.

I saw the opening match, but I turned off after the first half, been the opening match for Canada I was expecting the game to be more like taking chances on goal and beat the walls of China they didn't crumble. Seeing the final result above, I'm glad I switched off in the end.
I probably just end up watching the England matches and see how they progress. And the Dutch beat the Kiwis 1-0, looking at the results online.

Seemed a good game Canada v China, plenty of chances as I watched on fast forward, I then choose to watch the highlights on the iplayer, where they tell you the results BEFORE you've watched it! Could you imagine Gary Linekar telling you all the scores before you watch MOTD, absolutely stupid. Dutch beating NZ is a bit of a shock I guess?

Group A: A stunning strike from Lieke Martens was enough to give Holland victory in their World Cup finals debut.
