That is a hideous album cover! Her hair's a state and I'm not even gonna start on what she's wearing. Just nasty.
I only liked "I Wanna Be The Only One" from Eternal. They did a great gospel version of that on TOTP with a choir and tambourines... it was magic! Oh and "Someday" I liked too.

Wow that was something else! Pure class. You don't hear vocals like that these days.

I love "Circle In The Sand" the best.

I'm not the biggest Madonna fan, but her new "Jump" single is great! It has 80s catchiness written all over it! I also loved "Sorry", even though it heavily relied on the "Can You Feel It" sample.
Madonna today is producing far superior music.

Never a true word spoken. I hope she does read it! I feel so let down by her too.

I voted yes, if only for the 20 YO cover shoot.

Ha ha, okay we'll agree to disagree. With all this talk of Velvet Rope I feel like throwing the cd out the window. Or maybe I should give it away to a trick or treater!

I didn't like her Velvet Rope image either. Too much red going on and those bullring nose piercings. The album was okay at the time, but not worthy of being labelled one of her best. Overall it was a very dark album by Janet's standards, despite the horridly cheesy "Together Again". I did love "Every Time" though - a great ballad.

I love "Special" on Velvet Rope too... well minus the talky bits.
I voted Rhythm Nation as it was so varied and each song fantastic. Control was great at the time but for me it's overplayed.
Not heard her first 2 yet, but that will change soon! They just might tip the scales!

Forget about the sales of Call on Me which are questionable, let's talk about the quality of the song itself. The song has no durability. It will be gone and forgotten. Janet used to make memorable songs that would be played forever. This should be carved in stone somewhere.

I'd say Tesco's is a good representation of the British buying public. I wonder where it is in Asda's chart...

But no 2 is decent enough. I wouldn't say it was catastrophic. Album sales are always in the low figures these days.

If you look at her 2004 singles, you'll see chartwise she does better in the UK. And she gets more singles released. www.jacksonfamily-database.de/index2.htmAnd chart position wise the UK have always been good to Michael too.

The UK are always kinder to Janet than the US market.

This is my no 1 Kylie album. I absolutely love it! Okay so my judgement may be clouded by nostalgia, but that can't account for all of it. I love "Nothing To Lose" and all the ones Lola mentioned. The singles were stunning! And let's not forget "My Secret Heart". Just simple yet well written pop songs - you can't go wrong.

How HUGE are the signatures on that forum!!!?? Those sigs are idiotic! How people are a) stupid enough to have them and b) put up with them is beyond me. All those covers are crap. I'd be ashamed.

I think 80's Olivia is the best. Twist Of Fate is the sh1t! I love it! Didn't know she did this. What a gem!
