Surprised Plan B isn't nominated also.
I don't think Dizzee's latest is particularly deserving either. I do adore the Biffy album, but again - not sure that it's Mercury material.
The XX really should win this. It's IDEAL for the Mercury. Really chuffed for Laura and Corinne also - both beautiful albums.

THAT is a proper GH tracklisting! Well done to all involved.

They won't all make it onto the list anyway, but I imagine a good selection of those will. Maybe Fionn Regan again as well? Chew Lips is a good bet also.

I figured she'd put one out this year actually. 5 studio albums, she's still touring 'Funhouse' this year - so perfect time for a GH at Xmas and then a new studio album next year.
S1m1125's tracklist is pretty decent actually.

I LOVE Plan B.
Really couldn't understand why he failed to properly breakthrough with his debut. "Mama" and "No Good" had strong commercial appeal, and the album was really impressive. I went to one of his gigs in 2007 and was really quite impressed.
Love the Chase & Status collaborations, and the two 2010 singles - although they do seem a little watered down in comparison to his debut.

Fantastic setlist. Really wish I'd gone. I'd love them to do a full reunion tour so that I can have the chance to see them.
Musically, I'm quite happy with Brett's solo stuff though - three brilliant albums so far.

Manchester has produced so many AMAZING artists, it's unreal. Sheffield comes close for Arctics and Richard Hawley, though.
Anyway - most of the best acts are going to be outside of the top five then. I LOVE The Drums, quite like Hurts. I'm assuming Marina and Ellie will both be top 3. And possibly Delphic?

I absolutely ADORE Thea Gilmore. One of my favourite singer/songwriters of all time. I cannot stress enough how seriously underrated this woman is. She really should be recognised as one of the greatest lyricists of her generation. Every album has been sensational. I've seen her live a few times - always fantastic.
Her Xmas album, 'Strange Communion', whilst not being her BEST material, is well worthy of a listen. Fantastic to see his A Listed on Radio 2. I just really hope that it encourages them to playlist more Thea in the future.
If people haven't heard much from Thea before, I URGE you to do yourselves a favour and check her out!

Well I've got my GLasto ticket, will probably reluctantly do V again as well.
Happy with U2 as a headliner, fingers crossed that rumours of The Rolling Stones come true also.
Andy Williams and Squeeze both confirmed for Glasto also.

He even promoted this on GMTV Back in May...and still it amounted to nothing. Quite like it, though.

Back on topic then, I really like this new Robbie song. Not an obvious hit that will please the masses in the same way that "Rock DJ" or "Feel" did but who cares? It's a good song

Well, for a change, I have actually heard of all of these.
And I actually own TEN of them!! I think Friendly Fires is probably my favourite out of them all, though. Pretty flawless record.

I got a pretty decent spot for Blur - and all I did was watch the second half of Nick Cave. The good thing about Glasto is there's always a mass exodus from the stages once the bands finish, so no need to wait around all day at the same stage unless you want to be in the first few rows for the last band.
